GLASS, COSTUME JEWELLERY, JEWELLERY 2010-2020

The Design 10 exhibition maps one decade of the acquisition activities of the Museum of Glass and Jewellery in the field of contemporary design. Communication between curators and manufacturers, sellers and designers is absolutely fundamental when establishing the collections, and this results not only in purchases, but particularly in gifts presented as standard in permanent exhibitions, which are kept current as a result. The Museum in Jablonec is therefore certainly not just a place intended for documentation and presentation of “history” but a true bridge between the past and the present, where each of these pillars has the same importance.
